Excellent Herb Pictures!
Herb pictures are worth more than a thousand words of herb plant descriptions any day!

If you are like me, there's nothing better than a clear picture when it comes to identifying beneficial herbs in the wild or even in your garden.
Unfortunately, most herb identification guides have a picture of just the flower or a single leaf. This is done because the best way to positively identify a plant (especially in the wild...which can be your backyard), is by its flower.
However, what if you want to harvest the tender young
greens to eat for dinner or to put in an herbal preparation? Or maybe you want to collect seeds so you can add an herb to your garden? It would be nice to be able to do so, wouldn't it?
Tah-Dah! Our herb picture pages to the rescue!
Covering all stages of an herb's life cycle, our pictures will take the mystery and fear out of herb identification especially in the wild.
- Just print a copy of the picture (only for your own use, of course...see our terms of use for more details on this)
- Take it outside with you on your next herb walk
- Positively ID the herb you want no matter what time of the year or which stage of its life cycle you are looking for.
Just click on the links below to be taken to that herb's picture page.
